My Name is Axel

My name is Axel Holger Reventlow  and my passion for art, specifically African & Oceanic art, was awakened in Tunisia. At a meal with Nasli Heeramaneck the renowned Parsi-American art dealer. The way that he spoke so warmly about the pieces he was buying and selling, it was as if they were his children. Over the next few days he took me for a tour of some galleries and museums and my passion was found.

I then spent the remaining years buying and selling art that I loved. Whether expensive or less expensive, every piece was something that I loved. It has been the joy of my life to be custodians of these treasures for the short times they were with me. Over time I will add more pieces to share with people and hopefully to sell. I am not getting younger and it is time to simplify my life.

I have returned permanently to my home in my native Denmark. My grandson Magnus has convinced me to make this website – he says I will find more buyers online. However, my gallery is my home and this is perfect as I have no greater pleasure than living amongst art. If my pieces interest you, please send me a message via this website and I  look forward to welcoming you to my gallery.

Better yet, see me in person!

I love nothing more than helping people find the right works for their homes, if any of my pieces stir something in you I would love to hear from you.
